John Cena is currently in the middle of his retirement tour, with it being known that he is set to retire at the end of 2025, with his final match coming in December. WWE have not set an official date or promoted an event as of yet, though John Cena’s father did reveal that Cena’s final match would take place at Boston’s TD Garden.
Cena himself has now come out to confirm that his retirement match will take place in mid-December, rather than right at the very end of the month. When speaking on ITV’s This Morning, Cena confirmed that he was in fact bowing out at the end of the year.
“This is for sure the end for me. My last match is in the middle of December.”
Cena followed this up with expanded comments to The New York Post’s Page Six.
“My last match will be in mid-December. We’re still trying to find a place to do it. I said 36 dates in January, we’re halfway through. And, gosh, it’s been a lot of compelling TV. And I don’t want to spoil it for anybody, but I think we’re just getting started.”
Cena has promised that big plans are set to still come for his final run in WWE, teasing “awesome” things in the near future.
