Former WWE and AEW star Jake Hager has joined Power Slap.
The 43-year-old told TMZ's Inside the Ring podcast that he will make his debut on the promotion's show in Las Vegas on April 17.
Hager will compete in the heavyweight division and is signed for six appearances. He was initially contacted about joining Power Slap by Sinn Bodhi (FKA Kizarny).
A former NCAA Division I All-American, the Oklahoma native also has mixed martial arts experience, amassing a 3-0 record (with one no contest) while fighting for Bellator in 2019-2020.
Hager announced his retirement from professional wrestling in August 2025 while revealing that he had started his own trucking company.
His last match took place on November 2, 2024. That same month, Hager lost a booking with independent promotion Blitzkrieg! Pro after posting some controversial tweets.
Power Slap is owned and promoted by Dana White. It has come under heavy criticism in the past, including from ex-WWE star and CEO of the Concussion Legacy Institute, Christopher Nowinski, who believes a slap fighter could kill someone with enough practice.
