Mike Droese, who wrestling fans will best remember from his mid-90s WWE run as Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese, has had his arraignment pushed back.

Droese was set to be arraigned on May 28 on one count of attempted aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor in Warren County, Tennessee, but it has been rescheduled. Court records indicate a hearing will instead take place on August 27. The 56-year-old is currently out on $10,000 bond.

Droese was indicted on the charges after he attempted to purchase child sexual assault material (child pornography) on the dark web, but his attempted purchase was flagged and cancelled. Droese later peacefully submitted himself to the Warren County Sheriff's Department, where he was booked on the charges and immediately released upon making bond.

If convicted, he could be sentenced to between two and four years in prison.

Droese had been working as a DUI Coordinator for the 31 Judicial District Adult Recovery Court Program, having been with the programme for several years, at the time of his arrest. He was subsequently fired after his employer was informed of the charges against him.

The former WWE star has been semi-retired since 1997. He last wrestled at MLW Battle Riot V in 2023, where he was a surprise entrant in the eponymous battle royal.
