WWE star Bron Breakker is set for a spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery for a serious hernia.

In the WOR Daily Update, Dave Meltzer noted that Breakker had recently had the surgery and that a timeframe for his return is currently unknown.

"Bron Breakker had surgery for a serious hernia. No word on how long he'll be out", Meltzer wrote.

Bron last competed in the 2026 men's Royal Rumble match (on January 31). The number two entrant, he was attacked by a masked man before getting into the ring. The masked man - who delivered a stomp on the floor - was heavily implied as being Seth Rollins.

Breakker did make it into the ring, but was instantly eliminated by number one entrant Oba Femi.

Reports suggest that The Unpredictable Badass was the original choice to win the Rumble match and continue his feud with World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk on the road to WrestleMania. However, Roman Reigns was ultimately selected instead.

Breakker showed up on the post-Rumble episode of Raw furious about what had happened at the Premium Live Event and destroyed the ringside area before being thrown out of the building by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.

Despite their continued interaction onscreen, there are reportedly no plans for Pearce to wrestle.
