AEW’s injury list is often full thanks to the more high intensity in-ring style that exists in the promotion, though it must be said that the Don Callis Family has its own separate injury list given the sheer number of wrestlers that exist in the faction. For instance, Wardlow, Jake Doyle, and Brian Cage are all on the shelf, with Josh Alexander recently joining them on the sidelines too.

Alexander took to social media this week to reveal that he’d suffered an injury on AEW Collision when he, Konosuke Takeshita and El Clon came up short when challenging for the AEW World Trios Championships against Mistico & JetSpeed. Unfortunately, this has required Alexander to undergo surgery, scheduled for next week.

“I know I’ve been limping and been in pain for a week, but my surgeon told me I’m going to need surgery this coming Wednesday. My knee injury is pretty severe. So I will not be cleared to compete, and there is no timetable set right now for when I will be back.”

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this was the name knee that has caused Alexander issues for up to six years.
